The 2020-21 curling season is about to take off with a great general response.

On Monday, Nov. 9, the Monday Travelling League will begin with nine teams entered. Flynn, Layman and Sewell from Lafleche, Howe from Mossbank and Eldstrom, Coghill, Mountain, Lucas and Batty from Assiniboia have all joined the stiff competition.

Nelson GM and Southland Coop are the league sponsors. Draws in all centres start at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday nights will feature a noncompetitive recreational style of curling with four + teams entered at this point. There is still room for more, so just show up and the ACC will do their best to get everyone on a team. The action begins at 7 p.m.

Then on Thursday nights, there is a full slate of 16 rinks. There will be two draws, so the place will get a workout on this night with 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. slots. Paterson Grain is the league sponsor.

On Monday and Wednesday afternoons at 1:30 p.m. there is the Afternoon Recreational Crew.  At this point, there are 24 curlers who have indicated interest, but there is still room for a few more. Just show up or give the office a call. It’s just for fun and fellowship and a little afternoon exercise.

When coming to the rink, please remember to sign in, sanitize, and social distance as best as possible to assist in keeping everyone safe.

All things being equal, there will be a few special days throughout the season, so watch for advertising and special notices.  Hopefully, this season can work and be successful.

The Assiniboia Curling Club would like to acknowledge their special sponsors and advertisers for helping them through a rather unique and difficult year.
