The week began right enough for the Junior B Rebels, when they defeated the Silver Foxes in Regina’s Doug Wickenheiser Arena with a 2-1 result on Thursday, February 13. The first goal in this evening game in Regina came during a powerplay at 12:58 from Dawson Diekrager with assistance from Hunter Johnson and Alex Hicks.

The second period remained scoreless until the third, when everything roared back to life at 12:08 as Alex Hicks tucked one into the net with help from John Priela and Riley Skarbon. Then the Silver Foxes ambushed the Juniors’ defences at 5:57 when Maison Morin from Hudson Bay Saskatchewan and his teammates launched one through Assiniboia’s twines at 5:27. However the Rebels kept playing a tight and united ship on Thursday until the end of the third and left the Queen City with a well-earned triumph over the Foxes.

Then Triple Seven Chrysler Storm gusted through Assiniboia on February 16, leaving town with a blowout 9-2 against the Rebels. The Storm dominated much of the first period, earning five goals in near succession on this Sunday evening game. Relief for the Rebels finally came during the second period at 13:56 when Alex Hicks broke through enemy territory along with Cayden Price and Dawson Diekrager and dropped one through the goal posts for Assiniboia – this remained the only goal in the second period.

The second Rebel's goal came at 12:24 during a powerplay in the third when John Priela, Preston Carriere and Dawson Diekrager combined their efforts to score another one for Assiniboia following two additional goals from the Storm. But then the Storm answered back with two more goals, ending the third period decisively in the visiting team’s favour.

After the match on Tuesday, February 18 in the Al Ritchie Arena against the Capitals, the Junior Rebels will meet the Capitals once again in Regina on February 28 at 7:45 p.m.
