Special parade for Grace Heagy’s 100th birthday in Rockglen

Friends and family of Grace Heagy are encouraged to participate in a special 100 th birthday parade in Rockglen on August 15, beginning at 11 a.m. after the line-up at 10:45 a.m.

Friends and family of Grace Heagy are encouraged to participate in a special 100th birthday parade in Rockglen on August 15, beginning at 11 a.m. after the line-up at 10:45 a.m.

The line-up will commence one block south of Centre Street, turning onto Railway Avenue and heading north past the park.

Grace Heagy will have a sitting area near the park at the west end of Main Street, where she can view the parade and wave to her well-wishers.

Friends and family of Grace Heagy are encouraged to participate in the parade by walking, riding bicycles, or driving vehicles.

People are asked to join in the fun with balloons, placards, happy birthday cheers and lots of waving.

During this time, participants are reminded to remember COVID-19 restrictions, by maintaining a two-metre (six foot) distance from others, including Grace.
