Several mental health programs are being offered at the Assiniboia Union Hospital starting in March with pre-registration required.
The interactive program, Illness Management Recovery (IMR), runs Tuesday mornings starting Tuesday, March 21 throughout the year. Another mental health program at the AUH is the Anxiety Treatment Group for adults. The Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) takes place on March 30-31 in Assiniboia at the Kay Cristo Room in the Prince of Wales Centre.
As part of ongoing programs in mental health, the Maternal Mental Health committee at the AUH ran a BWELL Womens’ Health Bingo, partnered with Mom’s Florist, during the month of February. Participants completed wellness activities and submitted their bingo sheets to be awarded prized donated by local businesses and individuals.
