Nash’s Restaurant and Lounge on 401A First Avenue West is still closed, but Nash’s have advised their customers to check the restaurant’s Facebook page for updates. Subway on 100 First Avenue West has also briefly shut down, but this establishment is expected to reopen when the COVID-19 situation eases.

But with respect to social distancing, coupled with strict hygienic measures, even if all the town’s eateries aren’t offering sit-down services at the moment, takeout and food deliveries are accessible in Assiniboia.

The New Moon Café on 214 Centre Street is offering takeout orders at the front door, seven days a week from 1130-7:45 p.m. The payment options include cash, credit payments over-the-phone and debit payments at the door. When paying by debit, customers are advised to tap their cards on the glass door front then stand aside as the order is set on a table outside under the café’s awning. Andy’s Restaurant on 305 First Avenue West usually specializes in smorgasbords. However, this establishment is now focussing on takeout and delivery services from 9-8 p.m. from Tuesday-Sunday. Call them at 306-642-2368 for more information.

The Cruz-In Diner and Drive Thru on 330 First Avenue East initially closed their doors on March 22, but reopened on April 9. The popular drive-in closed their sitting area, but customers are able to purchase food from 11-8 p.m. from Monday to Saturday at the window. Ice cream orders are available at Cruz-In at the window on Sundays from 1-9 p.m. Customers are able to place food orders at the window, but they can also call ahead at 306-642-2789.

Trifon’s Pizza on 200 First Avenue East is offering takeout and delivery meals each day from 11-9 p.m. Cards are preferred as payment rather than cash. For tasty pizzas made locally, call 306-642-2010.

To get the best steaks in town, ring up the 121 Steakhouse Lounge and Motel at 306-642-4662 on 121 Third Avenue East. This restaurant is open from 10-9 p.m., from Monday-Saturday and on Sundays from 11-9 p.m. for takeout and deliveries only.
