Assiniboia is excited to be registered for the 2020 Saskatchewan Blue Cross Go Out and Play Challenge.

The Challenge offers communities a chance to win $10,000 for a project that gets kids and families out to play. This year, the Challenge will run from the dates of March 1-10.

Steph VanDeSype, Recreation and Community Wellness Manager, is excited about the opportunity that this Challenge presents. “I am looking forward to seeing the community rally together to try to win the contest all while enjoying fitness, friendship and fun. This is a great opportunity to get moving. All ages are encouraged to log their minutes and have some fun with this Challenge. If Assiniboia win this contest, the money will be used to purchase a climbing wall for the Assiniboia Aquatic Centre for all ages to enjoy. Our committee of enthusiastic volunteers are pleased to reveal our calendar soon with all of the movement opportunities. This calendar will show the regularly scheduled fitness programs in Assiniboia, plus a few more including a glow skating party, snow pitch game, pickleball tournament, winter festival and more. Stay tuned for more info to come."
