Gateway Festival will feature many amazing bands

The 14th annual Gateway Festival will take place July 27-29, 2018 in beautiful Bengough, Sask. Following on the heals of big names over the years such as Steve Earle, Tom Cochrane, Ian Tyson, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Buffy Sainte-Marie, the Bengough Gateway Festival has added headliner Kentucky Headhunters along with Kathleen Edwards and Chixdggit.

Joining this year’s festival are 2018 Canadian Music Hall of Fame Inductee Steven Page as well as Belle Plaine, Nick Faye & The Deputies, Amaya Lucyk, Coldest Night of the Year, Smokekiller and Weyburn’s own SWITCH.

Other acts confirmed includes Yukon Blonde, William Prince, Library Voices, Ellen Froese, Surf Dads, Kara Golemba, Natural Sympathies and Beach Body. Local Saskatchewan acts will include Froese, Golemba, Surf Dads and Library Voices in the lineup.

Over the past decade thousands, of music fans from across the prairies and beyond have flocked to Bengough for the annual Gateway Festival. During the last weekend of every July the town’s population grows by over 10 times.

There is a lot of activity during the Gateway Festival, which makes it a fun family event to attend. The Bengough Gateway Festival was named a finalist for Community Event of the Year award for the Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence for 2017.

Ticket prices remain the same as 2017. Advanced weekend passes for adults at $95 and youths (under 18) at $55. Children under 12 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the Bengough Drug store, and Able II Print and Escape Hair & Body Salon in Assiniboia.
