To all the citizens of Assiniboia and District.
This is a time to be strong and resilient. It is the time to look after ourselves, our families and neighbours to make sure we are safe. To keep safe, we must follow public health guidelines. As the majority of cases in our province are travel related, it is important that vacationers, including snowbirds, abide by the rules of self-isolation for 14 days after returning home. The next several months are going to be a challenge, but we will get through this if we stay strong as a community.
On a happier note and speaking of a challenge, our community certainly came together for the Go Out and Play Challenge. We won the $10,000 prize that will go towards a climbing wall at our Aquatic Centre. I would like to commend our Recreation and Community Wellness Manager, Stephanie VanDeSype and her committee for their hard work on this project.
In closing, I wish everyone to keep well and safe through the several days and months ahead.
