The Canadian Hemp Trade Alliance launched national recipe and photo contests

“The Canadian Hemp Trade Alliance (CHTA) is always focussed on bringing new ways to use Canadian hemp,” said Ted Haney, Executive Director of the CHTA headquartered in Calgary Alberta.

“The Canadian Hemp Trade Alliance (CHTA) is always focussed on bringing new ways to use Canadian hemp,” said Ted Haney, Executive Director of the CHTA headquartered in Calgary Alberta.

“Our first annual Recipe and Photo contests are giving hemp lovers an opportunity to show the world how they use hemp in its many forms [such as] food, feed, fibre and fractions,” continued Haney.

The CHTA invites interested individuals to submit recipes and/or photos. The competition was launched on 1 July 2020 and runs until 25 September 2020. Original recipes and photos will be adjudicated.

A winner in each category will be chosen in mid-October. The winners will be recognized at the CHTA National Hemp Conference in November. Also, the CHTA will publish the winning entries.

“We hope that everyone who grows, processes or consumes hemp will participate. Hemp is one of the most versatile and beautiful crops grown in Canada. We want to let everyone know just how many ways hemp can be used. Our recipe and photo contests are just two of the ways to reach out, but they may be the most fun,” Haney concluded.
