Go! Science event held at the Library

The Saskatchewan Science Centre presented its Go! Science show at the Assiniboia and District Public Library on August 10. Go! Science is the Saskatchewan Science Centre’s interactive outreach program that travels all over the province throughout the year. The show was a huge hit with about 70 people present including children as well as adults. The Canada150-themed presentation had three separate projects for the participants.

The Assiniboia and District Public Library has completed its scheduled summer activities and is currently busy planning a full program of events starting in the fall.
The Assiniboia library is also seeking input for its fall programming in a short survey on Survey Monkey www.surveymonkey.com/r/V5MZPYT.
The library’s TD Summer Reading Club Summer Fun Time wound up on August 24. The summer reading program featured an afternoon of stories, crafts, games and fun for two different age groups that included participants up to five years of age.
 The teen reading contest concluded on August 24 with the draw for prizes to take place at a later date.
The library has started the Friday Trivia Challenge. This new contest is posted to its Facebook page and branch website.
The Assiniboia and District Public Library is part of the Palliser Library system in southwest Sask.
