Shaun Boothe, a Hip Hop artist and motivational speaker, toured Saskatchewan schools from October 16 to 25 bringing students the message of inspiration to greatness through sharing the lives of such icons as Terry Fox, Bob Marley and Malalah, the youngest Noble Peace Prize winner.
Boothe’s Live Your Legacy tour stopped in at the Assiniboia Elementary School. The Toronto-based Boothe was aiming to unlock the greatness in every person. He uses music and storytelling to accomplish this. Boothe himself emulates his message having had to overcome past challenges of his traditional Jamaican upbringing.
Boothe is an award-winning hip hop artist, TEDx speaker and creator of The Unauthorized Biography Series. The Unauthorized Biography Series is a critically acclaimed musical project that celebrates the world’s greatest cultural icons through biographical rap songs – repackaging history through Hip Hop. Cultural icons include a range of historical figures from Oprah and Terry Fox to Nelson Mandela and Bruce Lee.
“The power of Hip Hop is in the stories we choose to tell. Our stories can either build us up or break us down,” Boothe stated.
