Halloween in Assiniboia

The Assiniboia Elementary School held its Halloween carnival. The students showed off their costumes in a costume parade set to music and the top three costumes from each grade were selected for prizes.
The students’ costumes displayed an amazing array of creativity that was inspired by pop culture, food, tools, television and computer and more.
Some of the winning costumes included a measuring tape, a Rice Krispies “Cereal Killer”, a Greek goddess, Oscar the Grouch, and an Ace Ventura look-alike. There were also life-sized M&Ms, dinosaurs, an air force pilot, skeletons, along with many more creative ideas.
Several activity stations were set up for an afternoon of fun, such as dartthrowing, a football toss, golf, and Oreo eating contest. Some of the more comedic stations included the cheerio toss and a balloon shaving station, where surprisingly, no balloons were popped.
To remember the day, a group of students at the Assiniboia Elementary School held a photo station taking pictures of all of the fun.
