The Assiniboia and District Arts Council held a successful annual Mistletoe Art and Craft Sale on November 3-4. The event attracted over 700 visitors who braved wintry weather over the two days of the show.
There were 47 vendors displaying jewelry, ceramics, painting, silk art, knitwear, sewing, wood furniture, nutrition, towels, cards, cleaning products, books by local authors, cupcakes and more. There were unique local works reflecting the region like stone jewelry made from stones picked in the Big Muddy.
The vendor booths were decorated with lots of creativity and care. Several artists from the Assiniboia and District Arts Council displayed their artworks including ink on ceramic tile, threading on felt, silk painting and oil landscapes.
In between browsing, visitors stopped at the Mistletoe Café to sample the lunch menu, especially the legendary lemon cake. During the afternoon of the second day, free movies were shown to entertain the children and families could get their photos taken with Santa.
