The Assiniboia branch of TD Canada Trust made a donation to the Assiniboia Aquatics Centre on September 21. The branch regularly supports the community with donations. This time, the branch decided to donate to the pool with the goal of keeping children and youth active. The $842.50 cheque was presented by TB branch manager Lanie Black along with other TD branch staff, Marie Simard, Kathy Reid, Linda Berner and Diana Lott, to Cheryl DeNeire from the Town of Assiniboia’s Recreation Department. The donation is planned to be used to support the pool season passes. The Aquatics Centre offers public swimming, swimming lessons and programs and a splash park is adjacent to the pool. The pool ends its season on August 31 with a doggie swim.
